I don't know about the west but here in Southeast Asia, everyone drank alcohol when they are small lol. Accidentally mistake papa's homemade beverages for water stored inside a bottle, letting the kids get some small sip since they are being curious and annoying u during meals so you gave them a small taste and watch them bleggh cause it's adult's drink, etc..etc. It's not considered a bad thing

Aside from "because funny" IIRC athletic types tend to have lower alcohol tolerance due to having a higher metabolism, along with something to do with weight.

So he's a relagively lanky former soccer player with zero experience with alcohol. Add in the possibility that he's a lightweight as well, and... maybe?
