how exactly do you justify it being a yoai if there would be someone with a female body be involved?
IF we go by your logic then it wouldnt be yuri either cause mc is still male despite the body so it would be a straight couple.

Some women don't lose much blood on their periods and they're just fine with only pads and never touch a tampon (my daughter was like this, though she did actually try one once just to see what it was like). My wife on the other hand, would soak her pads through by lunch time without a tampon. Both of them complained like crazy about how uncomfortable it was though, so my daughter was glad she could get by without one. Nobody was getting turned on by putting them in. It was a necessary evil to keep your clothes from getting stained.
