After thinking about it for a bit, she's a surprisingly able person in society. In a previous flashback, she took joy in basically making anybody around her cry, but now she only really does that if somebody wrongs her (Like the teacher and the molester). She could've seriously gone down a pretty horrible route in which she just turned into an absolute menace of a person but it seems she just keeps that side of her hidden.
It's absolutely not in her nature to be 'good', but it seems she's just... fallen passive because of how incompatible it is in the world she lives in.

Or maybe I'm just overthinking it.
