Truly one of my favorite characters in all of manga. That feeling of, at the very nadir of your feelings, realizing "yeah, I think I'll be okay after all", is very relatable and very well expressed. I love that we get to have a nice send-off to Shimada in this chapter before returning to Kiriyama in his moment of victory.

This is exactly why he's my favorite character. Even tho I know his character will also be fine alone, the romantic in me really wants him to be with Akari too so he can be taken care of, but idk how supportive shimada can be to her too, but then again she does feel fulfilled when she takes care neglected creatures back to good health, which shimada fits nicely in haha

Shimada's arc was telegraphed eons ago, and yet it still landed beautifully.
Honestly dont know what else this story could throw at us, except death. But hey I am happy to have read it.

With this Rei is now on his way to face Souya. This is definitely feeling like we’re closing in on a wrap-up for the series. Rei has overcome the barriers that stopped him one by one. Now he’s once again face to face the person he’s most similar to, though now Rei has changed to immeasurably since the last time they played one another.

When Reí goes against Shouya, he is only gonna win the last match, but giving a good fight.

Then some chapters of him and Hina. Then a timeskip and the manga is over.

Who knows when could that happen, the manga is slow. I wish It were at sale in my country

Is it just me, or did anyone else have to jump a year back to chapter 206 and reread all the chapters for everything to properly fit together?

For a while now, the chapters have felt disjointed and not made very much sense individually, but now I get it. At least to me, they feel very much like the flash-photo-image style I've seen a few times in anime, depicting a slow-motion crash between two people.

Something like… (with the sound of a camera shutter clicking between images)

Still shot of character A running, head down for speed.
Still shot of character B reaching backward to open his gate to the sidewalk.
A hears a latch click and looks up with a surprised expression.
B backs out onto the sidewalk with a large package.
A tries to stop her momentum and yells a warning.
B looks up surprised, dropping the package.
A and B are inches away in awkward poses.
A and B intersect in a tangle of arms and legs.
A is falling forward, B is falling backward.
A is on top of B, with the sound of bodies landing on the ground.
