The reason some of us hate this plot line because the author is doing the most. Every character don’t need to be involved in a relationship or even be shown to have interest in someone. Plus there is plenty of other mangas to show us that. For this manga it was very unnecessary for this plot line. The manga is all over the place we went from band competition, next following the two main couples relationship, now we seeing the author jump from character to character being inlove with one or the other it’s confusing as hell. This was supposed to be a simple gl manga
Yep, that's pretty much it. It's not the subplot of this couple per se, it's more like that the premise was the cute main couple interaction and we got all the competition drama + all the subplots of the other pairs with little to no screen time for the main couple for a while now.
I'm ok with the all side pairs but it should've been more "organic" during the story, here it seemed more like a chore list

It was doomed but also I don't think something this heavy could've been solved like this in a single chapter without manga magic, senpai is not showing a single ounce of pain or desperation, she's like "well yeah that happens but I wont give up :D" basically they go out on a date, are almost lovers, then she confronts the truth and talks about it then trauma and then they face the sister once again all in one chapter but they're like "it is what it is" and now this is over.

I really like the imouto so it pains me to see her like this specially because it feels like she was given this role to help the tall girl later when it comes to forbidden relationship guilt with a talk no jutsu.

Well at least the arc ended as well as it could for an incest plotline. I do sort of like how it looks like it'll mirror Himari's experience of not immediately falling in love, it makes the sub-plot feel at least a little more connected to the main plot.

I don't get the hate for this plotline , it explores dealing with an unhealthy attachment in a fairly healthy way, Miki never confesses or makes any moves on her sister, she never seemed to have any intention to act on it and is just heartbroken from her getting together with Shiho. We don't really get to choose who we love, especially when its someone she can't really avoid interacting with. Even if you can't control feelings, you can still control your actions, so its never wrong to feel a certain way even if it might be wrong to act on it.
The “we don’t get to choose who we love” thing kinda completely goes out the window when you remember they’re not real people with real feelings, this storyline is just entirely the product of a writer who is dragging the plot on with shallow conflicts for zero reason therefore none of it feels like it has enough depth or care that should go into a story of unhealthy incestuous attachments and the guilt someone may have for feeling that way. Plus it’s just been a complete chore to get through because even if it wasn’t incest and they weren’t related at all, I think having yet another character into Aki would have still annoyed people because we thought we were done with drama surrounding her and her relationship so why haven’t we moved passed it yet? Who genuinely wanted to see it go on for this long? It was just a random addition to the story that wasn’t developed properly and extends on the tiresome relationship drama we could have moved past ages ago.

I know things will go well with Miki because this is a fluffy romcom after all but man, that could go STUPIDLY WRONG

I don’t think I’ve ever oscillated between “we’re so back” and “it’s so over” so rapidly. Schrödinger’s Mi-chan, character assassination both killed her and didn’t. I suppose the only way to truly tell would be to open the box (future chapters) :3

idk, it felt to me like this chapter is emphasizing that it isn't over so easy. Aya and Miki might be heading in the right direction at the end of it but we got some repeated signs that it's gonna be a rough road for Miki even with a shoulder to lean on.

This hasn't been a simple GL manga since the main couple got together, and even before that the manga was always focused on the drama. From the misunderstood "confession" to Aki being sort of a rival , to the band competition and the lorelei background and now the Miki x Aya and her feelings. The simple stuff disappeared in the first 10 chapters, now its just cute girls having messy relationships in cute ways, we get break chapters here and there of the girls just living their best lives but the series is mostly drama, it isn't supposed to be a "simple gl manga", it's exactly what it should and always been .

Aya is the best girlfriend anyone could ask for

Does this mean I can finally stop seeing grating comments whining about the mere conception of incestual feelings that are never acted on and have been hinted at since literally the first chapter?
...No?
Yeah of course not...

Anyway,
Waow parents huh. Almost like you wanna marry her or somethin...
