Looks like the whole ordeal was partially caused by how Gensokyo really relies on keeping up the facade of a dangerous, youkai-rampant world, when it's in reality a lot more regulated than that. Though there doesn't seem to be much harm in telling the truth to those who have already slipped beyond the line between natural and unnatural.

So, what's the best way to make a stubborn little vengeful spirit give up the fight? If you ask Reimu, it's not with violence, nor is it persuasion... It's both at once.

So we finally have a design for at least one of Reimu's ancestors huh? I feel like it's not necessarily her mother, given the timeframe, but maybe her grandmother? Either way I'm sure a lot of fanworks are going to use that design from now on.

As an aside, I find it hilarious that the oldest known Hakurei also had the longest purification rod, it's not even pretending to be one-handed anymore. Maybe their purification rods grow with age instead of their bodies?

I keep seeing this being repeated a ton, but this isn't Satori's manga, despite her name being prominent in the title. Every serialized Touhou manga, except for maybe SSiB, is focused on the character debuted in their respective book. Just like how FS is Kosuzu's manga, WaHH is Kasen's manga, the Nature Deity is the three fairy's manga, and Lotus Eaters is Miyoi's manga - CDS is Mizuchi's manga. Haters will hate, but it's true. Satori did get a chance to be cool in the end, though
