I think people are misunderstanding the upload acknowledgments, as a former scanlartor from way before online readers were a thing, that has always been the case, there was always a risk for the scanlator to get a notice from the copyright owner (and know some have in the past), mangadex is just giving you psa but is the same no matter what site you use or means you use even if you don't click those boxes or have similar notices on those sites

Not that I dislike getting more of this series, but putting up chapters after everything else was DMCA'd feels like playing with fire. I'd hate for publishers to push back harder against the site because they believe that their takedowns didn't accomplish anything for them (yes, I know that there are already hundreds of other series that continue unabated, but those aren't things that have already been taken down. This sends the message that asking for the series to be removed isn't a strong enough measure and they need to step up their game)

Ok, I have one question about the lecture: How does "One-way mirror setting" translate to flower bouquets :dogkek:

You'd rather I watch you in an AV
She wants to reenact them with you, in an unprofessional relationship :smug:
Or well maybe not but when are they getting together already :aquadrink:

Thanks for the upload! Although I agree with some of the other comments that it's a bit of an uncertain situation to be uploading in right now. Then again, I think the worst thing that could happen is the chapter getting removed as well, so I don't think it's too big of a deal...

I'm sure MD can just block uploading to DMCA'd series. If they don't, it's not scanlator's responsibility to not "play with fire" and decide what they're allowed to upload or not to protect the site. If admins think it's dangerous, they can just preemptively remove those chapter too.

While yes, I agree that Mangadex could find ways to concretely stop disallowed uploads on DMCA'd series, suggesting that the uploaders bear no responsibility is kind of shortsighted and a little selfish. Users who are putting material on the site do have a somewhat of a duty to behave responsibly to safeguard themselves and the site they frequent and enjoy from further damage. It's like suggesting that people who jaywalk aren't responsible for any negative fallout because cities could choose to put up railings along the edges of sidewalks away from crossing areas if they were really interested in stopping people from stepping out into the street wherever.

I don't begrudge the uploaders for wanting to continue even though I fully acknowledge that all of this is illegal and has ramifications. But especially in cases where we know a series has been targeted/watched it shouldn't be too much to ask for people to be a little more careful for the sake of everyone, even beyond themselves. Because I'd hate for a publisher to come back and go "well, asking for the series to be taken down didn't work, so I guess the next step is getting the whole site shut down."

EDIT: FWIW, there's a thread on the support board about uploading new chapters for a purged series and it appears that the unofficial ruling is that any series that were only partially cut are likely to be purged completely at a later point and the surviving chapters were only a matter of how the site's back-end lets staff delete things without compromising this place's integrity, and that based on that people probably shouldn't continue to upload for those series. If that's the case for a series that didn't get totally obliterated, I can't see how uploading to a series that was wiped out would be OK and it would probably behoove the groups to not do it in order to save the site staff the trouble and risk of dealing with it after the fact.

My best guess: online/phone order for delivery directly to recipient where buyer never see the bouquet (put a request for the main flowers at best).
