Though it should be noted that it makes a lot of sense to do beach/hot springs episodes in Japan with how prominent both are to their culture. It'd be like setting something in California, Florida, Hawaii or some other island/set of islands and never doing anything with the beach or doing a series in somewhere like Colorado and never involving the mountains. Now there are scenarios where it makes sense to do neither, like if the setting is more rural Japan, but in general it's all about including the activities people in Japan would think of doing at given times of the year 🤔
