I do think making it so that she didnt actually want to see him again and that she acted to elicit hatred are a good direction, it kinda recontexualizes her ealy behaviour and clears up why she didnt ever come out with the truth (even if it relies on sunano literally gaslighting himself which she had no way of knowing happened lmao).
The dilemma she has between her own interest and what she thinks is best for sunano is also neat imo.
I distinctively remember him mentioning the fact that she "cheated on him with 3 guys" so he did bring up the past and i wonder what she means with him not bringing it up, but whatever i gues he stopped talking about it pretty quickly.

Finally the filler arc is over!

Filler is when the story stops so everyone can fuck around on the beach, not a flashback arc that fleshes out one of the MC’s characters. Come on man.

Honestly, I was not convinced by the flashback, but I am glad we finally had it and it gave us some much needed context. I don't think Lemon getting back together with Sunao is the right path, but there being a positive resolution to their relationship issues is a good thing and deserved for both parties. I hope Lemon being happy like the title says is more about her and Sunao solving their issues and her being true to herself, rather than a romantic ending between the two, I am still rooting for Sunao x Natsumi.

both the MC's, we went from Sunao's to Lemon's which felt a little long for some, but really can't understand how someone could call it filler.

So when she was planning to confess previously, she was COMPLETELY self aware about the whole thing and was still about to do it before others intervene. She was aware of what she did, she was remorseful to the point of self hatred but decided to confess anyway before clearing up the whole thing first? Something doesn't make any sense here.

The college manga had a flashback arc to spend months to teach you that not every classmate liked Lemon back in High School, but that they made amends before the manga started.

We now know that Lemon didn't really have a good reason to tell the lie and it was on a whim. And learned that Sunao never believed her or was hurt by it, he just wondered why.

What was even the purpose of the mangas first few chapters and premise?

Their whole situation feels more shallow and contradictory now than before. I've seen beach fanservice that develops the story and characters more.

The background information wasn't bad like I thought it was going to be, but it did make me swap from rooting for Lemon to rooting for Natsumi.

Can't Lemon just don't forgive this girl? she just ruined her relationship (well, it was also because of Lemon's insecurity). But taht doesn't cancel waht she did, spreading rumors and then coming with apology, is this calming your demons?

As for Lemon, she was just burning bridges, but magic happens..
