If a translator is using DeepL as a dictionary, they're not a translator. There's dozens of Japanese dictionary and resources across the web. This is some "if the typesetting is nice and the grammar is clean that means it's not MTL" cope.

"Not a translator" you say, but If someone can speak in languages A and B and uses DeepL to translate from language B to A or A to B, fixes errors in th output, so both sentences (input and output) have same meaning in regard to the context you had, I think that does make them a translator (not a pro one ofc), cuz, in the end, they did translate a sentence from one language to another, no?
(P.S. I use DeepL myself for my EN -> PL translations. It greatly speeds up the process. True, it's not perfect by any means, but that's why one needs skill in the language they are translating from, to correct those mistakes)

There's a valid point in a need to start from Chapter 1 if you're going to show off the difference in quality, though. SenkoScans has been the mediocre dogwater they've always been, but this is a situation where you stepped into their pre-defined area without a notion for the order of proof of competency. You put forward the effort in distinguishing yourself, but it doesn't give the impression you want it to purely because you aren't digging deep enough to undermine the total effort Senkoscans has put in to establish themselves, which effectively makes you look like you're giving yourself a loss.

I'm not going to actually ask you to undercut their coverage of Zurikishi's works; not unless you're genuinely inclined to prove that you're better suited to do justice to the raws. I am going to ask that you do just a bit more thinking about how you want to go about this drama. Senkoscans has literally no reason to respond so long as they keep up their pace of "acceptable if lazy" in the eyes of most of the readers.

It's clear in your translation, to be honest; it misses the mark compared to Senko in quite a few places(their worries before the call don't mirror each other and thus doesn't sell they're feeling the same thing as well, it's not as clear that she's speaking like she's interviewing a new hire, thus characterizing her as lacking experience in conversations like the one they're having, 'unbottling' is weird phrasing and it doesn't foreshadow his 'confession', 'without any ulterior motives' there misses what she's implying and offering with that implication, his story and his 'confession' don't feel as personal or warm, the end part is real awkward), and it's clear you got knocked off balance. There's places where yours is clearer, placing 'just like you' at the end instead of the beginning of his comparison of her to her dad makes it more obvious what he's doing, but...

It's a waste of community resources, someone who can translate stuff should be translating stuff nobody else is. Mylene, you're not a native Japanese speaker but I'm going to give you benefit of the doubt because English is also not your primary language, so maybe the meaning or understanding was different. In any case, responding the way you did, not only by out of nowhere putting up the latest chapter of a series you weren't working on (I see now you're working on it on Comick still, my mistake), but also coming back to mangadex when you'd moved to Comick just so people would see your response shows the same level of disrespect for your readers as Senko has. Instead of taking the bait you should have just let them act the fool because nobody wants to see it from either of you, but it was just from Senko before.

EDIT: Also, re-reading Mylene's pages again and reading the screenshots, where the fuck are people getting that they used machine translation? I can see where they defined what it was, followed up by them not doing that and what they actually do, and how they go to their mother or a scanlator friend if they need, but I didn't see shit about using any kind of MTL.
