My favorite part is his internal monologue gives the opposite feeling and yet he's absolutely crushing it out the gate

That plus the incredible expression work and pacing by the artist and this is some god-tier manga work.

I gotta admit, I'm extremely tired of the "most beautiful girl in the school" trope but I generally trust the TL's choice in fluffy goodness, and it's paying off thus far. The facial expressions are fantastic and as people have been pointing out, MC is actively working at pushing past his comfort zone and consequently I actually feel like rooting for him

Plot is cliched and full of holes, but if the comedy stays at this level I don't mind
