Is it wrong that I think people are focussing too much on the so-called message than the very, very obvious alpha bitch who has nothing but bad intentions?

We have already had the outwardly alpha bitch who actually means well. This woman doesn't.

Very clear that this woman is actively trying to find any fault in Teresse she can and is finding ways to construe everything she does in the least charitable way possible to justify undermining her, presumably to claim her position next to Rina

Who the fuck did she think she is? MC and Jade already had history during the whole Grand Duchess selection thing. If her being together with Jade was a taboo, then no one in the right mind would brought up that rumour right in front of her. MC is also the one Rina trusted the most. MC only needed to briefly mentioned what happened and she would be crossed out off the list.

In some other genre, Cordelia would totally come off as someone trying to win Riina's heart all the while seeing MC as a love rival.

Here though, I'm not sure what exactly her motives are. Really wanting Riina to succeed, showing off she can do that the best, tearing down those she dislikes without giving them a chance...

Some here have said that although that woman is horrible she makes a valid point. Nah.

Really, I think she's making stuff up. As we saw just a few pages before, all the other court ladies are there to snag men--it's expected, so a bit of flirtation is not even a problem. She and Jade are both respectable, single, marriageable, and close enough in status to not even be controversial. Them exchanging a few words in a public space is absolutely fine and normal. Jane Austen would consider it completely unexceptionable. Consider: All the other girls thought they were already dating--and this clearly had had zero impact on her perceived respectability.

It's just nonsense to try to make a gullible girl miserable and self-doubting.
Exactly what I was thinking, you put it to words well. I really feel like Cordelia has some other agenda (and possibly trauma she's taking out on her about someone targeting her to get at their true target) she's going for here.

And even if she did have a valid point, that's just no way to bring it up. We gotta get HR up in here lol
