Are we supposed to hate the MC at this point? Because the line "As expected of me, I got the Demoness on the first try!" is  really conceited and annoying.

His first act is to force feed drug someone so they will marry him, then presumably did the same or maybe worse stuff to the other demonesses to make them his wives as well. In the same chapter he physically abuses the first wife once they become "real". I've read my fair share of "lonely loser immediately tries to get harem after their sudden stroke of luck" mangas in my day, but something about this one is immediately much more sinister/gross than usual. Going to read a few more chapters to see if there is any sort of plot or character growth(at the very least some comedy or entertainment) but I am already starting to doubt this will get much better.

This is genuinely awful on so many levels. The premise sounds like a lot of fun, but I was hoping for something above pre-school level writing and rapey, abusive MC...
