time-skip, and suddenly we’re in the palace. MC sitting next to shitoen and says "I love you, not because of anyone else but because of you." shift scene: at meiru & arius residence. chancellor tells arius that his father doesn’t approve of his marriage to meiru. chancellor says, "for the sake of becoming crown princess, meiru even pushed shitoen aside."
arius gets invitation to MC wedding with shitoen, and he shocked when chancellor tells him that MC been spoiling shitoen, and that MC’s and shitoen kingdoms are already working together in mineral trade.
chancellor reveals that dragon emblem isn’t scales but more like cherry-blossom petals. arius suddenly flies into rage but gets rebuked by chancellor. at the last page the chancellor is planning some evil scheme (looks like another murder/kidnapping).

Yeah this is my issue so far and what will likely make me drop this series. He is portrayed as this super reliable man since he has made so many military exploits but then he acts like he is 10 when it comes down to anything that requires him to think or understand anything. Doesn't need to be a playboy or a conniving bastard but c'mon have at least more than 2 braincells rubbing up against each other every chapter.

FOR you guys who critizes his behavior... ever been in love so much that you can't think clearly? it is that state he is in right now. Besides he is learning more and more how to care for her. that is a very good thing and he DOES ask how to do that right. unlike in some mangas where the MC never ever does a shit about their beloved ones. just sit there and being more useless than a wig on a naked mole.
