Makes self aware comments about the isekai genre, then proceeds to fulfill those cliches by the end of chapter one lol. the lead up to his fodder side character self meeting the villainess makes zero sense, I’m sensing some suspicious writing early on, hopefully it’s just because the author wants to get into the meat and potatos.
his background as an orphan, especially as a man of working age in a medieval setting, does not coincide with free time to practice swordplay and challenge the adults in your village. jumping through hoops just to show the mc is exceptional/a good fighter methinks.
Additionally, a counts a big deal, a noble who oversees a significant amount of territory, and to mingle with an orphanage director to request a peasant to bump elbows with his daughter?? Very bizarre, a baron would make more sense. The dude even met the MC personally just to introduce him, like he’s some diamond in the rough lol. there’s gotta be some EXCEPTIONAL circumstances that would cause this girl to be scorned by actual nobility in her age range. Her being a powerful magic user frankly isnt good enough of a reason in my eyes, and if it really is, why expose that shame to some nobody commoner?? It’s not particularly useful for her upbringing either.
