Not valid competition in this case. Houki's a first-year middle schooler, which make her 12 or 13. Ayase would be at least 3 years older than her. He almost certainly just sees her as a little sister at best. If she were a third-year, then yeah-ish, maybe.

Although Madoi's fear is irrational, it's hilariously realistic.
