Gah, just talk!

Admittedly, maybe in this one instance smart to at least table it for when it's not late at night and one of them is black-out drunk anymore, but wow, been a while since I have seen this level of non-communication

Though it also does not feel particularly unrealistic either, and also not like something that surprises me coming from Mitsuki

I maintain that this is good, although not enough. Mitsuki needs a wake up call. She's been taking Aya for granted a bit, like she'll always be there without Mitsuki putting in the emotional effort. Being there physically is not enough. Hopefully this leads to some self-reflection from Mitsuki, though I'm afraid we'll need something more drastic for her to fully realize.

I get this is a very dramatic moment, but wouldn’t Aya call out Mitsuki’s name during sex at the very least? That would make it clear that she had her in mind, just as we saw in the last chapter.

Also interesting that Mitsuki bristled at being asked for physical comfort in this moment because of Aya pushing her away before, when the contexts are nowhere near equivalent.

Makes me wonder if Mitsuki has been too much in her own head and, as you said, is being a little too self-centered when it comes to how she interacts with Aya.

It's not the correct time to talk, because nothing productive will result with Aya being this drunk and tired.

But I think steps are being made; though I agree, that it's not at a point where I think Mitsuki will actually come to the table and have it out with Aya. Soon, but there's still ground to cover (given neither Rinko nor Shu have actually made moves to up the ante on things).
