It was pretty clear this was where the story was going for quite awhile.

And Tenma gets saved by the plot again. If this was more realistic, his half-assed attempts to threaten people with no real intention of following through on said threats would result in him never getting the key information he needs.

Yet another one of those "because the plot said so" moments. I haven't pointed every one of them out but... what kind of shit tier bodyguards let someone bring a gun into a room with the person they are protecting? Especially when they know the person with the gun is an enemy of the person...
