Nice chapter as always! On page 2 something that confused me is Piero-san is referred to as she, everyone looks like a woman (have we seen any actual women yet?) but aren't they still usually called he and such since they are male?
Thank you for the tl! With series like this one the perspective I take is to just appreciate the good parts of it, the ideas and the scenes, and not to mind as much that it didn't quite stick the landing.

What it seems to be is that they're not actually his mother, at least not originally. She got taken and consumed by them, and they became her by taking on her memories and personality "in this cycle".
