It doesn't necessarily have to be java but the client code is open source and is written in java. The idea is that you don't reinvent the wheel and modify that code. But if you want to start from scratch that's also fine, but time is also an important factor.

We will make some changes to data saver, and make it tied to the device and not the account. So this means guests can also use it, and people with accounts can have it on for their mobiles but not desktops.
