I feel like people are missing the point of the flashback. It's not a sob story for Kinugawa, it's an origin for why he got more fucked up than he already was, and how he came into contact with Okaya.

Not sure why you thought it was tragic. Kinugawa obviously had violent tendencies before being abused by Daimon and recruited by Okaya, and his fear over Okaya is more about what he might do to him vs what he might do to others, so it’s not like he was once nice but then became evil. If...

If this was Juujika no Rokunin, we’d have a much more brutal punishment scene of Daimon beating up Kinugawa, alongside scenes of him taking up skirt shots of girls with extreme detail, and finally directly showing him commit suicide. That is to say that it hasn’t gotten to that level yet.

Nah I doubt it. Considering how tight this series has been so far, whereas even before all the cult stuff Juujika no Rokunin was bloating itself to high hell, I think she’ll be able to kill them all easily.

I think this is one of those things you aren't supposed to think too deeply about. Maybe that's a cop out answer but I don't know what to tell you.

Considering it's been two years since Nagare's death, we can assume she spent most of that time training and saving up money to buy stuff. Hell, we saw her give a "favor" to the principle, who's to say she didn't also give others to people who'd give her weapons or money?

Would be funny if they pulled a Juujika no Rokunin and had it so she put on an Okaya costume for no reason.
