Every time someone uses the ‘curiosity killed the cat’ line to discourage questioning I want to remind them that the next line is ‘and satisfaction brought it back’. Also her secondary persona taking on a life of its own is cracking me up!

I am absolutely in stitches over Jo clinging to the poor officer’s head. At this point I’m pretty sure that she was, in fact, her aspect’s beloved library cat in her past life that just mistakenly got reincarnated as a human this go around.

Oooh this plays out rather differently from the novel where the doll house quartet happens quite a bit later and with more melancholy/apology than gratitude on Hestio’s part (or Ephiel…I can’t reminder which is which, but short hair blonde guy). I think I personally like this a bit better 💗

Read this chapter while mindlessly listening to orchestral soundtrack music and now all I can imagine is Myne humming Darth Vader’s theme and it getting turned into a song to Ewigliebe or such. I can’t imagine her trying to keep a straight face as Ferdinand seriously transcribes anime songs.

Man it’s so nice to see supportive relatives in this genre, and all the more so given the complicated and messy circumstances of their relationships. Victoria and and especially Malina are making an active choice to have their connection to Judith be a positive one and darn if I’m not enjoying it!
