To be clear, a really big subgenre of NTR is BSS, short for "ぼくがさきにすきだったのに / Boku ga Saki ni Suki datta no ni", the Japanese term for "Even though I loved her first!". And a lot of the most successful NTR hentai are that. Seto Yuuki's Chitose, for instance.

This story's not subtle at all, but I approve of any manga opposed to abusive relationships, instead of glorifying them. In other rom coms she would be a "tsundere" and her behavior would be considered adorable.
