Camcorder shaped magic tool is a red flag for tech level. I was a little blind sided by the magic 'definitely not just a steam' train as well. I know it's fantasy but felt anachronistic to the 17/18th century vibes the opening was giving.

Scale is a real problem here, hurt my head to suddenly find out MC is smaller than that hammer.

I find it annoying that on page 3 the attack is about to hit him and he's just standing there dumbfounded, then he powers up his big tornado and then he is far away on page 6. The sword blow should have landed in his face before he even raised his hand.
