I wonder how the original plot of the game is supposed to go if all the worst bits of the cast's backstory was changed. All the kids are alive, the villains from the church are dead and the hero is joining the family. Is the demon lord supposed to show up at some point? An evil god?

Anyone who's met her seems to have figured out that the best way to deal with Avril when she's in her 'villainess' mode is to distract her so that she forgets that she's supposed to be a villainess in the first place.

Love how even the half demon prince got the jibblies from Angel's mana.
Shame we didn't get to see his lie detecting eyes used against the noble though, that would've been satisfying on top of the rest of the whole scene.

It's nice to see that these kids are geniuses in their own right, and that they're developing skills that even Makoto didn't think up, instead of just completely copying his methods like other stories often do. Makes me look forward to seeing how they develop in the future.
I always liked stories where people who were raised in cults or like human weapons try to reintegrate into normal society. It's a fun thought experiment on how their upbringing clashes with a standard culture. We're only a couple chapters in, but Hikari's actions are pretty interesting:
