She is up against an overwhelming opponent who is dominating the fight from start to finish, has broken bones and possibly a crippled limb. However you have to give her credit, she still hasn't given up. Sometimes, that can make all the difference in a battle.

In the summary it stated that it is a collection of horror stories, so the chapter number doesn't really matter. Most likely each chapter is a self-contained story.

Personally, I expect Sophia to be rescued, and I'm wouldn't be surprised at all if it turned out that group killed her parents themselves. Also, I expect that Sophia will end up being adopted by the ML. Then for that rotten King to get even more anxiety when he hears of it. :)

That slaver was an idiot. Not that I think it would have done much good, but as dangerous as this slave was, the man should have taken more precautions than just chaining his hands and feet. That didn't even slow him down, in fact, all it really did was give him a weapon.
