But the blackmail is a necessary plot development because when you have an MC that is SO generic and SO bland and SO incapable of taking the steps necessary to change his life, the girl HAS to take measures to force him to change. Because God forbid a romance slop protagonist have actual agency...

I made it to chapter 11 before dropping this. Nothing happens in this manga. It's a constant string of other characters doing things off screen, and then them telling the protagonist about it after the fact.

Or she could just, you know, marry an elf.

So this chapter confirms that there's a sort of multiverse, NOT that time is being rest. Because these two guys won't exist in a lot of these timelines, same as Illya's baby
