Yeah, art quality has noticably gotten worse, it's a big difference from the first chapter.
Get the feeling they're rushing and sacrificing quality to keep the schedule.
Indeed, and I think the ones who commented after framed the uncertainty better than I did. Just giving a dollar amount to say "I need $X to purchase the remaining raws" would be sufficient.
There might be more financial support for the manga if the end card was instead instructions on how people can purchase raws directly for you (and some means of coordination so there aren't duplicates). Throwing money into a PayPal/patreon/etc. always feels like a gamble, and it's not unheard of...
Punishing the MD userbase by arbitrarily withholding TLs because of a stupid personal beef with site mods over an incredibly inconsequential thing?
Oh yeah, it's real scanlator hours. Here I thought the ones who left because of people complaining about their running-commentary translator notes...
I'd still believe it's mostly misattributed out of simple ignorance. I think it's just that a lot of readers who aren't actually buying raw JP manga (or at least not the ones with sexual content) don't really know that mag-vs-tank difference, or how much it can vary between raw sources.
You get...
Sort of happened to Saihate no Paladin, the raw group the TL was apparently collaborating with (UTOON) put their own censorship in that wasn't present in the actual raws.
Just wanted to check, are you guys still working on Youjo Senki? That low-effort, patreon-shilling, Spanish-to-English group that sniped it last spring looks like they may have dropped it.
That rule mainly has to do with extra pages of content being added, so people don't inseet ads/memes/etc between the pages of a chapter, or if it's openly offensive content.
So unfortunately while MD staff would take action if the TL notes were going on a racist diatribe, they're unlikely to do...
I do still stand by what I said in the deleted chapter. I still find it funny that they withheld uploads from MD for months and when they did a drop of chapters, they put in end cards complaining about how nobody's donating.
I'm sorry, but this is the wrong place to be taking that kind of...
I just find all the ending cards hilarious because of this.
"Guyyyys only 2 people signed up for our Patreon in the last 3-4 months :("
Like, maybe it has something to do with how you guys haven't updated the manga on one of the largest scanlated manga hosting sites for the last 7 months...
Thing is, there's no rule or requirement here on MD for a series to be dropped just because it gets an official TL. Only thing that isn't allowed is posting official raws (be they JP or officially translated). Groups dropping series because of official TLs is entirely their personal decision...
I guess I don't quite see why it was worth spending money for nothing but a retranslation that could be done decently well on your own nowadays thanks to machine learning (though that doesn't include typesetting and all that jazz, kudos to the TL for doing that solo) while still using the same...
Why does your first page have Kosuke saying "What do you mean? I am Lime"? Makes no sense, especially considering how the sniped TL shows it as "Where is Lime?", which makes perfect sense in the context of the conversation.
