I think it's fine to keep "Said" as is, because each part of the world will romanize it differently. But yes, the "Saruman" is just your usual L/R mistake. I also think the weird Arabic is from the raw, the translator just don't realize the mistake because they also don't know Arabic.

This. I don't know how the LN is, but I love that the anime double down on the edginess while still keeping the comedy. It makes me really appreciate the contrast even more. On the other hand, the manga double down on the comedy, yet somehow manage to keep it engaging. So yeah, both are good.
