Now we have reached 90, the question is would the author gonna finish it exactly in 100th story just like the title or the author gonna bail in 99th story like similar manga in the past.

There probably isn't many loose ends to cover so the author could end it in exactly 100 chapters if he already made a plan

Alright I thought about it for a bit and here's my opinions from a meta perspective.

At first I was like "really, last second Ghost Rules? That's a lame ending." Then I thought "maybe as the storyteller, he wanted to believe that his parents really did love him but he remembered at the end that he was telling Ghost Stories." But then the foreshadowing in the first letter with DAD KILL MOM contradicts that.

But he's telling these stories out loud. How the hell would he be able to foreshadow that in his telling? Emphasis on certain syllables? What other stories placed more importance on indescribable visuals that could not translate to the spoken word without revealing too much or too little information? As we the audience are the stand in for the beast, what version of the story is the in story beast he is telling it to getting, the audio or visual version? Do these differences propose different interpretations of the story then?

So the 90th story is basically also what's going on with Yuuma's real family, and yes, the window to Hell he has on the desk is 99.999999% a framed photo of the late biological mom. But considering the twists on some of the past stories I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out Yuuma's dad was innocent (or at least wasn't actually guilty of the mom's death despite perhaps being abusive) and Yuuma told all of these stories to play the victim to Mom and us readers. Of particular interest are the stories told by the 2 coppers where they basically say to us that everything isn't as it seems.

What's the issue here? An ending that introduces new information, such as a last-second ghost rule, is typically considered appropriate in a one-shot or short story - and they're especially common in ghost stories. It's only longer stories where introducing new information as a twist becomes an issue.
