It always surprises me how the author/artist can show each girl struggling with her demons in a different way. Even the way the struggle is represented is often different, from Yuri having a full-on delusion talking to a representation of her repressed desires, to Hinata's repressed desires taking the form of a text-filled silhouette trying to fill in or "take over" her. It's really good not just for the creativity, but it helps keep similar issues from becoming stale.

No one has the slightest clue of what a loving relationship of equals entails.

There's like little hints of a world truly horrifying underneath the surface paved over with the funny down bad antics of the girls. I think because all the women Sou is mind breaking are actually probably on the more genteel end. There are probably more women like Hinata's mom and given now we see Hinata's inclination towards that end, she truly is the most horrifying and dangerous one.

Just because her mask is protected out of resentment for wrongs done to her by family, it doesn't make it genuine.
She just never had to defend her beliefs against the real world: With just a little push from a guy, she's already being pushed to her breaking point.
If she can actually surpass her mother and become a genuine kind lover or collapse into her genetically inherited obsession for men, only time will tell.
