Shh dont use logic, just kidding. To be fair though while I agree with you, I do think there are less problems foreseeing the future than seeing dead people. People would probably spread rumors about her in an negative way since death related things are often viewed negatively, but also there's the other problem. What if the dead heard that there's a woman who can see them, they'd flock to her. Rip her privacy and sanity.

You can also do what she seems to be doing and provide "proof" that you can see the future beforehand, which turns the ability to see the future into a sudden but believable "gift" rather than the potential "curse" of communicating with the dead, which might also just feel more random considering how you'd have to explain it after the fact.

Like the alternative if you wanted to set up the fact that you can speak to ghosts is that you walk around talking to no one and get seen as crazy before finally revealing the truth, which is much more damaging to your image compared to having inexplicably prophetic dreams
