Since the crowd at the end of the chapter had low expectations for red mages, in addition to the guild staff in chapter 1, I'm going to go with the theory that red mages are usually not useful, but MC is an exception.

So is he super talented at being able to use many kinds of magic and to multicast, or did he accidentally find out how to unlock the red mage class's potential?

Bruh, it's useless trying to get them to put up a guard around you, you're already a trusted person in these girls' eyes. Now that he's the leader of the party appointed by consensus it's too late to be saying dumb crap like "but what if I'm a bad guy?"... what the heck?

The viewers are way too nice, nobody pointed out how "one guy did all the work and carried the rest of the party" in that boss "fight". Although I suppose it's simply because depicting someone raining on their parade just goes against the goal of this chapter of celebrating their party's success.

Consideirng they didn't even notice that the guy soloing the whole thing is right behind them, I won't be surprised if the broadcast only show a really short scene (not that there's much to cut anyway 😆 ) or the average adventurers are just really dumb.

Edit" More seriously speaking though, this should've been a bigger event than it is. If an A-rank party can't just freely hunt wolves, then a supposedly inferior class oneshotting a giant spider should at the very least be meta-changing, and Red Mage becomes highly valuable.

For someone who trained these women, which would have required some level of trust and knowledge of the person, I find it odd he tried to put out a hypothetical "what if I'm a bad guy?" scenario. Like you know these women to some extent, you know their abilities, and they know you (as much as a student can know a teacher), and you've all successfully completed a quest. Where does the doubt and hesitation come from right now?
