Is it? Why? You never said you were going to save them all. Not once. You're going to save the people you can. If you're trying to argue that just because we can't fix everything that means we shouldn't fix anything, then... well, the endgame for that line of thought is everyone committing suicide immediately. After all, no one can fix everything, so why do anything? Why try? Why live? It's all worthless.

That's a stupid thing to say. It's generally an argument used by villains and people who have zero concept of empathy. Just because helping others does make the helper feel good about themselves, that doesn't mean that's the
reason they helped others. If you're going to argue that having any sort of positive emotion from performing an action means that person is a hypocrite just because they felt good about it, fuck off. That's idiotic. People aren't mindless animals. They can have more complex motivations than "I push button to feel good."
