I was thinking this may show promise, just like everyone else is saying here ... until I got to ch. 5-6.
The story comes to a point where the MC was kidnapped by illegal child slaver thugs to be sold. He convinces a dude who seemed to be regretful of what he was doing to help him out. They get caught sneaking out, and the guy who was helping him escape decided to stay back so that he can escape. MC comes back to save him. Now in this process, he kills one of the thug slavers. He eventually gets saved by the knights that raid the hideout, but he reverts back to his depressed, traumatized state because he felt so guilty over killing a literal child abusing, enslaving, murdering scum. That's right, he literally says that he "stole their future." LIKE WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN?! His future to continue kidnapping, torturing, murdering and selling children?! Holy shit balls that was the most retarded reason I've ever seen to feel guilty about. Mind you, he's a full blown adult that got isekai'ed, not like he has the mentality of a child.
All in all, to say that this was so stupid enough to turn me off from the rest of the story honestly. Such a bizarre choice of narrative that I couldn't comprehend at all.

Coming from the view of having taken a life even under morally correct circumstances it still can haunt you. In that instance they may have been scum, but they may also have had a family that cared about them without knowing what they were doing and you now are putting that family through the same grief that in this case crippled the MC in his previous life.
