ehh.. i don't know if you guys read same series... or just really lack of attention to the series... it always amano that is the late boomer and want to play safe with their relationship... she doesn't even realize it's love until just couple of chapter ago... sure, she is the dominate one in the relationship, but she always intended it as friendships...

something can't be said for manabu who fully aware something changing in amano... he want to address it LOT OF TIMES! well, him self is denial because amano is still childhood friends and still see her as such ( i don't think that girl even played lot of role in manabu himself other than inspiration at this point)...

at least now both party fully aware that their relationship can't be trated as normal friendship anymore and they has future they need to faced especially in their relationship...

People don't understand that the best relationships are the ones started with friendships. You can very well say they will get together eventually since they're both on the same page.
Both are acting very mature for their age which is a great surprise coming from this manga.
For me this is a great ending to this arc.

I mean, that was literally him turning her down. Whatever his reason for doing so it's saying "let's just be friends" Since it's a manga of course the (long distance eventual) progression to more will happen but in reality most of the time if you view someone as a friend and don't want to continue down a romantic path...it's not gonna turn into a relationship. You've already decided.

So while it was nice seeing "progress" this is actually not that great. I honestly don't know anyone who when told by the person they love that they should just remain friends would be like "Okay awesome" =/

@jtpetino the problem is that since the beginning this manga had basically zero plot, se get some little progression every 20 chapters and even the longest arc turned out into anything. At this pace it will take 300 or 400 chapters to have Amano and Manabu together with anything other than panty shots in the meantime.
