LETSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! We finally will have the feelings being discussed!!!
Man i just love this manga so much, Saki reacting that way to confessing is so real of her, really shows how much she's been afraid to verbalize this feelings and this part of her identity in general. She's genuinely one of my fav protagonists in yuri works because of scenes like these!
We see her struggle with her internalize homophobia ever since the beggining of the manga, but in the last few chapters we get more into her head about it, seeing not only her negative view of everything, but she slowly becoming more aware of this struggle and becoming more assertive about it! Truly an experience that every queer people have in their journey to acceptance, i just think this is really cool to see.
I still think there are room for more emotional scenes about this struggles and i am totally sat for that too! But look where we are now, just a few more steps and it's all set!!! GANBARE SAKI!!! And you too Kanon, both of you can do it!!! DON'T FUMBLE PLEASEEEEE!!!!
The best part about this entire situation is to whom it is happening. Outside her internal homophobia Saki is one green amazonian forest of a character.
She rarely gets angry at others, avoids confrontation, never gives up when it comes to helping others, actually sits down and listen to their issues and everyone who had some interaction with her ended up in better position in the end.
Despite her flaws, and being so meek, she had such possitive major impact on others. And overall improve everyone's quality of life, that she is outright deserving of being seen as a saintly figure.
That is why the last scene in this chapter hits so much more. After all her good deeds, and seeing her struggle so much to the point of crying, she finally have someone who will be there for her when it is the hardest.
Our little baby gay is almost there, just a little bit more...
