honestly I still don't care if Esperion loses this game. I forgot if there were even any stakes to this game. Something about giving the players a chance in the pro team filled with world cup players?

I am just happy our main character finally does SOMETHING. I don't care if it works or if he gets another red card. Even leaving the field would be more usefull than just being a misplaced goal post

And I didn't like that either, and I don't mind imagery if it makes sense, but this manga is at its best when they depict real football sitatuations. I know all of us cringed when the GK made that double save 3 chapters ago.
that save was the most outrageous thing since the Trepone high boot/dangerous play

What in the Blue Lock is happening here? Give me my realistic manga back, miss me with this edgy shit.
bro i dunno if you have been reading a different manga but this has always happened when Ashito faced monsters. That African-Japanese guy on another pro-team and that guy who has a better eagle eye than Ashito who plays for that high school team.

Demon Demi terrorising my manga with his blue lock aura, what happened to the fiction i love 💔💔
no but seriously though what are we doing? I understand the psychological backfire after all of their momentum got crushed and all that but this is surely a bit dramatic, even if the viewpoint is heavily biased in Aoi’s POV. The entire team is shook, even though Akutsu supposed to have another major dev in this match and Kuri will atleast match Demian somewhat(he did though and I kinda dig his own development).
A lot of strong mirror matchups/parallels going on, Akutsu seeing his mom and the garbage against Demian seeing his abusive father, Evil n cool Fukuda pragmatic approach and ruthless western methodogy against coach Fuks‘ idealistic “teaching” philosophy. And yet things have been kinda… comical(?). Akutsu is not getting any action yet(he‘s prolly getting some real soon to bail Aoi out), noone is live evolving aside from Ootomo, the new kid is mid aside from 2 decent runs which also has been overshadowed by the Ukrainian winger. Fukuda and his own staff having a little succession subplot is also great because it also reflects his philosophy and create a good dynamic against the cartoon evil japanese assistant coach’s role on Barca’s side, which has been exploited for 2 chapters. Demian’s antics is also on a whole nother level, bro should see a therapist weekly instead of schizophrenic sadist sess on the pitch

i wouldnt say this is anywhere near blue locks lvl this is clearly just the interpretation of facing an unsurmountable enemy just like when ashito versed funebashi they were scences very similar to this

Come on, that was a waste of a chapter. It does NOT need to be dragged out this long. We get it. They're all in shock and trying to find any sort of chance and momentum against Demian who's a demonic god that spits out random bible quotes.

It would be interesting if there was a time skip after this game , with ashito improving his techniques and physique

"No way, he dribbled past Damian"
"What's with that fullback...!"
"Number 33, you are a worthy rival."
"Was I wrong about Japan...?"

The writer has done a really good job expressing how scary it is to play against a team levels better .
Its not about trying your best its first about believing you can win

Literally Mamardashvili 2 days ago in La Liga: https://x.com/LaLigaExtra/status/1850590419924509054

Cool saves! It's nowhere near similar to what happened in the manga tho.

Imagine that goalkeeper completely stopping the momentum of a direct shot and then catching after stretching like that. It's fantasy.

For sure, as I said, I don't mind imagery when it makes sense, but that dude literally doing an Alucard pose before sprinting it's fucking cringe.
