This is some acid trip the mangaka went with Argentina's depiction, it looks like fucking Chicago with the fentanyl zombies.

Also, I don't know any Argentinian who wouldn't become the agent of their son if he was receiving offers from Boca and River. Those guys breathe football, specially if he failed as a player, there a higher chance they live vicariously through their son.

I mean, you never know. In this context, it's safe to assume the dad is under the influence of drugs, booze and a deep hatred for football, basically three types of poison at once. His brain is probably too fucking fried to even think about all the chance he would get as Demian's agent

Did you did think Argentina’s lower rung was ultra clean or something? A sad reality is that shantytowns and clandestine settlements are similar in many ways across the world; it invites criminals to see a fertile market for drugs, misery loves company. Chicago just descended to that level, it isn’t a never-seen level of urban chaos.

Same shit here in Brazil, and Argentina is a neighbor who shares much of our own lows and highs.

I'm not saying is supposed to be clean or drugs free, but that slum still doesn't look Argentinian.

theres no place in argentina that looks like this, youd be hard pressed to find a tattd up grandma, tribal tattoos never caught on, we are too poor to have fent zombies, and a bunch of other details, every panel seems to be in completely different areas of the country, the buildings when he is running away look like the style thats predominant in patagonia, the next panel hes in a buenos aires commercial area and when his buddy tells him hes going to sell drugs, they look to be in la boca or another lowland neighborhood of CABA, its just wildly inconsistent.

I think grandma's tattoo looks like the Uruguayan sun instead of the Argentinian but now I'm nitpicking hard lmao
