Well, considering they're time lords by virtue of having numerous christmas', valentine's days, vacations and such, all in spite of them never moving up a single grade, I'd say it's par the course.

It's been shown that they get jealous of each other, or at least show envy when the others get close to Daisuke, and they've been shown basically fighting over his attention at times, but I do believe this is the first time where any of them interfered with such pure spite. (Though it might have just been Chiaki being Chiaki and thinking that smashing the bubbles together would let her get into Daisuke's bubble, rather than her actually trying to send them flying)
