Maybe I'm being optimistic, but the new maid and the knight don't seem like bad people. One's willing to be an informant and the other tried to protect Miessa as best as possible. Will have to wait to wait for the next season to see if they're truly allies.
Speaking of next season, looks like the Prince will start to cause havoc for the Chladnie family. Putting my bets on him trying to dissolve the marriage so he can have his favourite 'toy' back :shamihuh:
As always, thank you for the translations!

while the maid doesn't seem like a bad person, remember that she mentioned her husband needed to be put in a sanatorium. this implies she KNOWS what a real mentally ill person looks like, so if anyone can see through miesa's acting it's her. plus, we've seen miesa slip up a lot more now that she's found solace in the household, now is probably the worst time to have someone perceptive show up to the doorstep. we also know she has three sons, and the king is a ruthless motherfucker who is not above murdering children if he has to. i'm sure she's a good person, but she's still very very dangerous in this situation when she has leverage against her and could easily find the secret that would make the king go berserk

i'm actually worried about the goddess statue for multiple reasons. the knight has been with miesa for a lot of her abuse, if he doesn't know that she's absolutely terrified of anything religious (refusing to go the chapel at all and trembling) that either means he's an unobservant fool enough to give her a gift or her phobia only happened after he was separated from her. there's a chance that after he protected her from the flogging, the abuse took place in the church and the knight was sent away? either way, i'm sus of him. does he know that she's not deranged? because otherwise attempting to marry her and stuff is very concerning, as far as i can say the most flattering angle would be that he simply wanted her to be his wife so he could protect her like the ML was attempting to and not to woo her but i don't trust like that

Discovering that this knight has already proposed marriage to the princess doesn't please me, as it's clear what his intentions are when he shows concern for her. She is married and her husband is very caring and is doing everything he can to give her love and a happy life. And she's starting to recognize her own feelings. I don't like these events where other guys show up to cause confusion in the relationship. I hope the author takes this knight out of the picture. It's irritating to see people meddling in other people's relationships, based on their concepts and opinions. Whether in real life or in stories. It's irritating.

Although this knight seems like a good person, I think that only comes down to Miesa. This issue with the statue could be his plot to try to induce Miesa to believe that this family worships what this statue represents, making her become agitated and uncomfortable in that house, thus trying to get her out of there. So she would return to the castle where he could live with her again. I don't like his behavior in front of her husband. There are limits that should not be exceeded. Going to his house at the king's request is one thing. But requesting a personal visit is too bold. Author, please remove this knight.
