A great explanation of the advantage of positioning and tactics, and I like the constraint that a magical relic costs the mage an equivalent chunk of their total mana capacity. There's something unsettling about Dolce being a dangerous fighter with her personality the way it is...

I like this over explanations, because I like the worldbuilding aspect.

This is vastly superior to a lot of actual action manga, which just throw out special move names you haven't heard before as if that's supposed to impress you, even though they do nothing to build up why the move should make you feel any tension beforehand.

Honestly other than the coliseum arc, which was such a tonal shift from the rest of the story, this manga is well-written. I do think in a lot of parts the translation doesn't get everything across very well though.
