Rest of the Chapters are missing in English because we decided to honor the fact that Vertical made a very great effort to bring a great translated manga to the English speaking locals. Translation effort has been pretty much entirely skipped and back when I was helping /a/nons organize the Black Jack chapters, I was telling them about this, we decided to focus only on the chapters that may never see the light of the day unless people of the internet made sure it became available. Pirates can go elsewhere.
Because of the Tezuka's unspecified areas of will, some chapters can never be republished in the order they once came out, and that will remain that way. Tezuka has re-worked the order before the death, and some chapters are permanently locked away from being republished. The only place to get them was via auction or library at this point and that's where we came in.
Summary of the releases:
* Shonen Champion Comics edition, ****25 volume, 7 chapters omitted 1st print, 8 onward / chapters arranged as the release order
* Kodansha "Tezuka Osamu Collection", ****22 volume, 22 chapters omitted / chapters arranged out of order

*Akita Shoten's relicensed "Proper" edition, ****17 volume, 11 omitted / chapters arranged according to Tezuka's planning
>Vertical's version covers this, plus 3 chapters from Shonen Champion Comics for HC Limited Edition
*Kodansha reprints "Tezuka Osamu Collection", Also ****22 volume, but removes another chapter for a total of 23, Fuck you Kodansha
*Akita Shoten reprints "Proper" edition, with newer cover. Content identical to the original release, except restored to the original release order when possible.
>"Treasure Book" addendum book was released later as the 18th volume of this "Proper Edition", released in 2008, and it restores 2 from Vertical HC LE + 1 additional chapter
*Kodansha's "Tezuka Osamu Collection" reprinted into "Complete Collection", ****12 volume, but restores more lost chapters and also restores back to original release order, cutting lost chapters to 8
>"Black Jack Greatest Collection", released in 2012-13, ****15 volume, have all but THREE, in RELEASE ORDER (except one or two reordered chapter)
The missing chapters in Greatest Collection are "The Finger" (which is listed here), "The Vegetable" (which is missing), and "The Seat of Pleasure" (which has only been scanned of recent).

Great chapters. Thank you for releasing them, this is one of the series i've loved since childhood. I may have started with the show but slowly i build a collection of my own for the manga. I never even thought of chapters that were never republished so this gives me something more to search in regards to the series.
