This chapter is named after " 'Round Midnight", which holds the record for the most recorded jazz standard, the first version was performed in 1944 by Thelonius Monk's quintet. It was later recorded in 1947, and released on Monk's 1951 album "Genius of Modern Music: Volume 1". Another one of the most popular versions is Miles Davis' version from 1957, in which he named his album after, changing it to " 'Round About Midnight", which is what this chapter was directly named after.
