the Ravi kidnapping arc hasn't happened yet. The author stopped right at the beginning of a new arc, when the royal guard turns up take Douglas to the king because the latter wants to meet him. There was no further explanations on the people after Ravi. Also I've only read the WN version, not the LN.

I think the manga going to differentiate from the WN since the novel is on hiatus and we've covered about 80-85% of it so far.

In the WN the one who cursed Douglas IS Alan, not Edmond, he became weak because of the rebound. Reason? Still unknown. Edmond DOES kidnapped and attacked Ravi and Douglas later on but that's because he wanted for Douglas to take back the curse he "placed" on Alan. Edmond thought Douglas cursed Alan and not the other way. Make no mistake Edmond does not do this because of chivalry-slash-friendship to Alan, it's because the Hero Group has been demoted to normal rank because of Alan's condition.

So maybe the manga version will make him the villain instead? Seems likely the way I see it.
