She's being granted an award by some top nobility (maybe the prince?). From what I remember, the guild leader does his best to keep nobles from wasting her time, but there was too much power and pull with this request.

The initial reason was to reward her for taking down a demon lord earlier. But there’s a bit of a conspiracy to try and keep her there for other things. They’re trying to use her for their own goals. And she isn’t the only adventurer there

Basically she’ll have to face off against her father’s friend who was kept in prison. He’s basically an extremely powerful mage despite his appearance. They use him to try and stop her from leaving. It ultimately fails because he stops obeying them once he finds out she’s Belgrieve’s daughter and that Belgrieve is alive. The two basically escape and successfully flee from the mansion. This starts a chain of events that’ll lead to Belgrieve reuniting with his former party.

She was summoned to the ducal estate to receive a great award for her slaying of the demon lord a few arcs back. She needs to act like a noble so she won't be mocked.

From the Guild Master's interaction with the noble's messengers, it appears that nobility outrank the adventurer's guild in general, so she's stuck there unless she wants to risk total war.

My favorite chapters are the ones where we get a sense of how strong Belgrieve is. It's so vindicating and reassuring to see him showing his ability and being acknowledged for it.

I really liked that the he was good enough to keep up. In the anime it was basically two punches and it was over for Bel.
Now if the manga could give us a little treat and give the mage fight a few pages too instead of off-screening it!
