@tlst9999 Well, that's because this is being very old-school so the granny is acting a lot like the original magical girls like Akko-Chan's Secret and Sally the Witch. In the progenitors of the genre, magic wasn't really used much beyond a job class style costume change and/or making them look like an adult as a disguise; relatively mundane or interpersonal problems were the crises they dealt with more often than not. This series is playing itself relatively straight to the modern formula with this Post-Sailor Moon demon fighting and people being transformed into monsters due to negativity, but the heroine herself is resolving those conflicts as if she was a Pre-Sailor Moon era magical girl from the 60s. It's kinda brilliant in that sense.
