22 years ago, I would have said Nintendo. Today though, all three companies suck for both different and the same reasons. Plus Xbox is basically dead. There was that rumor that there wouldn't be another Xbox, which basically turned out to be true. A 1500ish USD PC hybrid is not an Xbox console.

Tbh, Consoles have been pretty much been made obsolete since a while, given that a PC/fatphone can do most of their stuff better and w/o limits.
Nintendo actually had a good thing going with wii and the DS family, using special gimmicks that you would not be able to easily replicate, but switch 1-2 didn't have one and thus had no actual purpose.

Big N also really fell from grace under Furukawa, despite most of the rot thah plagues it being there before.

Tbh, I hope for a renaissance in diverging from the standard input, but I look for that in new participants

Yeah the Nintendo console game is pretty fun for party

But fuck the company tho, they kind of in the phase of "too big to fail" in my opinion. Kind of shitty in lot of part, like how they want to copyright summoning mechanics.

The shitty behavior of Nintendo is not surprising. Nintendo is relying on their old IPs, which mean innovation is kind of constrained for them. New games are always kind of "the same", are all from the same licences, nothing really new. So they have to defend their IPs with the fierceness of a wounded beast if they want to survive. They're copying themselves, so others copy them, they're screwd ! Without that, their consoles are close to useless...

Meanwhile, XBOX know they're dying and start to open up in some way, sometimes way too much...

My thoughts on Xbox is they trying to jump on 2000s console boom.

Like I don't know they exist until very recently. They don't have IP exclusively like Nintendo or widely available like PS (cmiiw).

From what I feel is they lack of identity. For most part from what I understand is, what Xbox can do PS can do it too. So very little reason for two kind of identical things to exist.

I think Xbox could better as pc extension for processing game.

Call it dogshit opinion I don't care, but with RAM price going up, having these console to process the game could work around.

Something like gameboy accessories lol
