Why do we have to have a goblin eyed reverse harem female protagonist? The artist legit makes her look like a jump scare every time shes angry

Which is to grab him by the jaw to shut him up
Just think of it as a kind of affectionate (if slightly bashful) physical contact. She feels comfortable enough with him that she can make physical contact. I'm fairly certain she just firmly held his face in her hand, not roughly.
A tsundere would be more violent and would vehemently deny having affection for him (whereas Anastasia just gets embarrassed when its inferred by her parents). A tsundere with high status/self-esteem (which Anastasia has) would also be far more demanding.

its quite cartoonish how it is as well... but I hope they develop a bit better some things too and dont speedrun as much as in the novel... but the light novel is only 3 volumes long so I Doubt....
The whole first volume was cartoonish.

Is the dere part of tsundere, and she's definitely more dere than tsun, but she's still a tsundere irregardless. I do not in fact have any problems with tsunderes, but this particular instance rubs me the wrong way
She feels comfortable enough
Allen is her saviour, who's been utmost beneficial to her at his own great expense and who has not slighted her in any way throughout the entire duration of their relationship. And now the slightest transgression of spelling her name the wrong way prompts her to grab him by the mouth, which she of course feels comfortable doing, because she's a Duke's daughter, and he's a stinky commoner who should subserviently act in line. I mean, maybe she has full marriage plans laid out in her head, but until she seals the deal and makes sure that he also feels comfortable grabbing her back (even if only in private), I am not gonna see her behaviour as anything but misplaced entitlement

An entitled duke's daughter wouldn't touch "a stinky commoner who should subserviently act in line". She shut him up before he could misspeak and wind them both up in a scandal (this time one that doesn't frame them in a positive light).
I really don't see it as any worse than slightly excessive (she did grab his face, after all, even if she had a good reason to get him to stop). Honestly it seems like the scene might've triggered you due to something more personal, which would be understandable (I've had the same happen to me in other contexts).

He's not stinky enough for her to feel repulsed by touching him, but he's a commoner enough for her not to see anything wrong with grabbing him however she wants.

That would be a justification for her doing that, but there are non-tsundere ways to do the same, like putting her hand on his mouth without grabbing it and then explaininig it to him.

Can't recall anything like that in my biography, no, though I am an unnecessarily prideful person, so maybe I am projecting that. Like, if I were to help someone to the same extent Allen did, and the most gratitude I'd hear from them was, "Also, what was it... Thank you for fighting the duel for me", all the while being made act subserviently and reprimanded every time I step out of the line ever so slightly, I'd turn around 360 degrees and walk away rather than keep dealing with this bullshit.

I really don't think she has that kind of classist attitude. I mean, she lives in a class-based society as an aristocrat, so she's gotta have some degree of subconscious classist values. But I'm fairly certain she doesn't actually consider him inferior. It's seems more that she's considering their societal positions (not "level", but the role they each hold in society) and the rules that govern them (not just in regards to this situation, but in general with her treatment of him).
That would be a justification for her doing that, but there are non-tsundere ways to do the same, like putting her hand on his mouth without grabbing it and then explaininig it to him.
I agree with you there. I did say it was a bit excessive.

Might be something that you don't generally think much of? That's how it was for me. And I'm a pretty prideful person myself.

In terms of gratitude, she did that whole bowing thing and went through a number of lengths to keep him and his family safe (practically begged her father). Moreover, she literally said "not in public". She's absolutely fine with him calling her by her name's shortform in less public circumstances (they don't even need to be entirely alone, just so long as they're around people they can trust not to make a fuss about it).

Heh. We're talking a lot about something that probably isn't going to matter all that much. Assuming a mostly standard formula, MC will eventually wind up with her anyways, likely being ennobled himself along the way at some point for significant achievements (he's powerful and civic minded enough for that to be highly probable, at least). Honestly I was just mostly surprised at your comment since I hadn't even really considered her a tsundere. She might technically qualify now that I think about it, but she's probably the least (or one of the least) tsun of all the tsundere characters I can think of (including those who are entirely nonviolent).

I do not disagree with you, but notice that these are regions, not countries. At least for the most part.
Yes, East Anglia was technically a kingdom (so a country) briefly, but, at least as far as we know it's name comes from "east angles (the people)" so the angles who lived in the east, not due to geographic orientation in a wider sense.
Westphalia, again is the name of a region, and while technically there was a Kingdom of Westphalia, it only existed for a couple of years during the turbulent Napoleonic times.
Upper or lower would actually be a good use in terms of geographic storytelling, like with Upper and Lower Egypt, thing is that requires a landmark or feature that is central enough in a relatively enclosed space (like the UK, which lays on an island, or Egypt which is/was surrounded by desert) for it to make sense. The importance of the Nile river was kinda a big deal, and we have no such feature there.
Like, "Centralen" is central, to what, exactly? Clearly not the big mountain range, that acts as a divider, so in that sense they would be the "Kigdom of Westerdale" instead.

Overall, very minor point for me to be caught up on, but manga and manhwa writers could seriously use some homework when they home-brew their "vaguely medieval and/or early modern western europe" settings.
I don't think it matters much whether something is a "country" or a "region", especially because these meanings shift over time.
it's name comes from "east angles (the people)"
yuh, of course. how does that matter?:thonk:

landmark or feature that is central enough in a relatively enclosed space
almost all polities will have(and did/do have) some sort of combination of mountain/river/ocean access that can serve as a basis for upper/lower, it need not be as dominating as the nile.

some combination of north/west/south/east or upper/lower or cis/trans + some identifier has been a very common name for polities in history and present, and is certainly not restricted to the roman or frankish empires. that's all I wanted to say really:thonk:

Indeed, especially bare-handed. Today in our "Details That Kill" series, am I the only one who has noticed that Ana-Sama Anastasia no longers wears her signature gloves? 🧐

What I saw at this moment was simply an (almost) friendly:

Nice, that's a detail that I missed Anastasia-Sama not wearing gloves. Yes it is more of she wants him to not use their private time name in public. Which Allen should know as Ana mentioned only when not in public to him when the mom suggested he call her Ana. Most likely to prevent issues since the other nobles may take issues with the familiarity of a commoner using a dukes daughter's nickname.
Ana thought maybe want to keep it secret because of her feelings for Allen.

I really don't think she has that kind of classist attitude
She wouldn't let her classist attitude be an issue when it really matters, sure, and I reckon, if it was anyone other than Allen, she would have been acting more respectfully. But since she is a tsundere, her status is a convenient way to mask her feelings, and it makes her act more classist towards him.
But I'm fairly certain she doesn't actually consider him inferior.
She has not made it clear to him yet. Though obviously he doesn't mind either way
I did say it was a bit excessive.
And my opinion of her is a sum of those insignificant but slightly excessive acts. Like the fact that she refers to him without honorifics (if the TL is to be believed) - unlike her friends, who refer to him as "Allen-kun"; or how she has borderline violently grabbed him on at least two occasions, with both of them having the understanding that he wouldn't dare grab her back; or the way she talks to him mostly in imperatives, and acts like it is a given that he will comply
Might be something that you don't generally think much of?
Nah, it would've been one another thing to keep me up at night otherwise.
In terms of gratitude, she did that whole bowing thing
It's not something he wanted or needed, and it's not like they bowed to him. And if they do feel like bowing in his general direction was humiliating, that's one more reason for them to target him, so she's really putting him on the spot.
and went through a number of lengths to keep him and his family safe (practically begged her father)
As far as I can see, "practically begging her father" is the full extent of things she did to keep him and his family safe, and it's not like the Duke needed much convincing. Making sure those who did a service to the duchy are not harmed as a consequence of said service is a bare minimum of gratitude I'd expect from anyone remotely decent. If anything, it is a pragmatic thing to do, otherwise it sends a message of "don't bother protecting interests of the duchy, we wouldn't give a fuck if something happens to you".
Heh. We're talking a lot about something that probably isn't going to matter all that much.
The way their relationship will conclude was obvious since Chapter 1 synopsis, we know how she feels about him and how he feels about her. He knows her personality and doesn't mind those quirks of her, this little is not nearly enough to turn him away from her. The thread is me explaining how I feel about her and her attitude, and it obviously doesn't resonate with people, but nevertheless, I see Anastasia as an ungrateful and entitled person, she is someone who will honor the deal and compensate you the way she considers appropriate, but she would show zero appreciation for your services unless she absolutely has to. She might have makings of a great lord, and she might be someone to bring happiness and prosperty to her subjects, but I wouldn't want to get personally involved with her. Unlike Allen.
Honestly I was just mostly surprised at your comment since I hadn't even really considered her a tsundere.
Actually, after rereading some of the earlier chapters, I see her as a bigger tsun than I initially thought
