For a manga adaptation that was not focused on sports, this arc was well made. Somehow, it got me engaged.
And on the otherhand, this is one of the few rom-com out there that even the supporting characters' love life is also compelling. I can't help but root for Takayuki-Shimizu as much as I root for the main ship.

I find it funny that they sub the rival in last quarter. When protagonist for the match has been in all game and tired, and bowl cut still has the gaul to act high and mighty. As a competitive sport, I get that it was a smart call. I just find it retarded, especially when they normally want us to think it was a "fair" or "honorable" match.
